Few years ago, we decided to switch from refined white grains to whole grains as much as we could. We started naturally with bread, then moved on to rice and pasta.
I finally got used to the chewier, more robust flavor of brown rice but was much more skeptical about whole grain pasta. I finally got used to it but it took me longer to adjust.
Now it seems the next transition would be to switch to gluten free and so I’ve been experiencing with gluten free pasta.
I have to say that my first experiences were far from being convincing: I didn’t like the texture and the stickiness.
But then I found this brand and I have to say that I’ve been pretty impressed with the results. I don’t have any gluten intolerance that I am aware of but I just have a sense of better assimilation than with wheat. And it tastes almost like the real thing.
I was wondering though if I was giving in to a new health food fad. I am curious about how you feel. Have you made any healthy switches for your family?
