Quintessential French Quiche Recipe.
-3 Tbs heavy cream
-1 cup and a half of milk
-1 cup grated Swiss cheese
-6 ounces of bacon or pancetta
-Herbs de Provence, salt & pepper
Preheat the oven at 435 degrees for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the eggs, the heavy cream, the milk and the Swiss cheese.
Season with pepper, herbs de Provence, fresh basil.
In a skillet, cook the bacon, cut into narrow strips until brown and crisp. Drain on paper towel and add to the bowl.
Fit the puff pastry into a 9-inch pie plate and pour the mixture into crust. Bake for 45 minutes while turning the dish from time to time.
Serve with a simple salad with cherry tomatoes cut in 2, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
